Introduction: Thalassaemia syndromes are a group of inherited haemolytic disorders determining chronic anaemia, iron overload and organ damage (through the production of ROS), necessitating of iron chelation therapy. Nowadays, there is scant knowledge on hypercalciuria in thalassaemic Western patients.
